General Warranty Statement

At Yardbird, we take great pride in our outdoor furniture, and we strive to bring you the best quality at the best price. We’ve spent countless hours learning what makes the highest quality outdoor furniture in the world.

Yardbird products are handcrafted one at a time. The handmade process means that there may be natural variations in weaving patterns, frame colors, sizing and other features, that are not product flaws. You may also notice that the appearance of Yardbird
products may vary slightly from the photos that are shown on our website. Such variations are natural in the manufacturing of hand-made products and should not affect performance of the products.

Yardbird warrants to you, the original purchaser of this new Yardbird branded product (“Product”), that the Product shall be free of defects in the original manufacture of the material or workmanship, for the time period described below, starting from the date of your purchase of the Product or the date of delivery (if later than the date of purchase) (“Warranty Period”).

For this warranty to apply, your Product must be (i) purchased in the United States from a Yardbird branded retail store, Best Buy store, Pacific Sales store, online at www.yardbird.com, or by phone with an official authorized Yardbird sales representative and (ii) packaged or sold with this warranty statement. This warranty does not apply to Products sold “as is” or “with all faults”. The term “Yardbird”, as used in this warranty, refers to Yardbird branded retail stores, Yardbird stores within Best Buy or Pacific Sales stores, online at www.yardbird.com or authorized Yardbird sales representatives reached by phone, email, or live chat.

Because Yardbird cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from Yardbird, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Yardbird reserves the right to reject warranty claims for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized websites or phone representatives.

Repair or replacement*, as provided under this warranty, is your exclusive remedy for breach of warranty. Yardbird shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for the breach of any expressed or implied warranty on this product, including, but not limited to, lost data, loss of use of your product, lost business, or lost profits. Yardbird makes no other express warranties with respect to the product. All expressed and implied warranties for the product, including but not limited to any implied warranties of and conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the warranty period set forth in this document and no warranties, whether expressed or implied, will apply after the warranty period. Some states, provinces, and jurisdictions do not allow limitations on (i) how long an implied warranty lasts, (ii) exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or (iii) limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state or province to province.

*If replacement is not possible Yardbird in its sole discretion may offer a refund or store credit.


What does this warranty cover?

During the Warranty Period, if the original manufacture of the material or workmanship of the Product is determined to be defective by an authorized Yardbird representative, Yardbird will (at its sole option) replace the Product with a like Product or comparable product or provide a replacement part [which may be new or rebuilt, or comparable to the original part] at no charge. If replacement with a like or comparable product is not possible, Yardbird in its sole discretion may offer a refund or store credit. Products and parts replaced under this warranty become the property of Yardbird and are not returned to you. If service of Products or parts are required after the Warranty Period expires, you must pay all labor and parts charges. This warranty lasts as long as you own your Yardbird Product during the Warranty Period. Warranty coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the Product. Actions taken by Yardbird such as repair or replacement do not reset or extend the original warranty period.  

How to obtain warranty service?

Contact the Yardbird customer experience team at hello@yardbird.com with your order number, photos, and an explanation of the issue, and we will work with you to resolve it. You may also call 877-927-2846 to discuss your issue.

Where is the warranty valid?

This warranty is valid only in the contiguous United States [excluding Alaska and Hawaii] to the original purchaser of the product from Yardbird.


What is not covered by the warranty?

This warranty does not cover:

  • Isles, Calhoun and Havana collections.
  • Damage during shipping to you, the customer.
  • Failure caused by lack of appropriate care/maintenance or improper storage.
  • Damage caused by external sources.
  • Compression of cushions.
  • Glass tabletops.
  • Staining, etching, scratching, or surface dulling.
  • Damage or corrosion caused by saltwater or seaside environments.
  • Bursting or cracking of tubing due to exposure to water and freezing temperatures due to improper storage.
  • Damage to other products caused by a Yardbird product.
  • Customer instruction/education.
  • Installation, including hookups to a gas line or other source of fuel.
  • Set up adjustments.
  • Cosmetic damage.
  • Damage due to weather, lightning, wildlife, pets, and other acts of God.
  • Accidental damage.
  • Misuse.
  • Abuse.
  • Negligence.
  • Use for a commercial purpose, including but not limited to use in a place of business or in communal areas of a multiple dwelling condominium or apartment complex, or otherwise used in a place other than a private home, unless the product was sold with a commercial warranty from Yardbird.
  • Modification of any part of the Product.
  • Damage due to incorrect operation or maintenance.
  • Use of a battery with incorrect voltage or connection to an improper power supply.
  • Damage due to attempted repair by any person not authorized by Yardbird to service the Product.
  • Products sold “as is” or “with all faults”.
  • Consumables, including but not limited to batteries (i.e. AA, AAA, C etc.), propane tanks or other accessories.
  • Products where the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed.
  • Loss or Theft of this product or any part of the product.
  • Failures or damage caused by any contact including but not limited to contact with cleaning products, liquids, gels, or pastes.

Third-Party Warranties:

Yardbird does not provide any warranty for third-party products as described in this section.

Sunbrella Fabrics, POLYWOOD furniture, Phifertex’s fabrics, Oriental Weavers, and Treasure Garden umbrellas and bases are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty linked here:

Yardbird Residential Warranty: Components and Material Coverage

Aluminum Furniture and Table Frames

Structural Warranty Duration: 10 Years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird aluminum frames are warranted against broken welds or frames, loose joints, structural breakage of material, or other manufacturing or craftsmanship defects.

Finish Warranty Duration: 5 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • The finish on aluminum furniture and table frames is warranted against manufacturing defects such as excessive blistering or flaking as determined by an authorized Yardbird representative.
  • This warranty does not cover cracks, flaking, fading, chipping, dents, or other minor cosmetic damage because of normal wear and tear, as well as small variations in color or textures.

Teak Furniture and Table Frames

Warranty Duration: 10 Years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird teak frames are warranted against broken frames, loose joints, breaking of material, or other manufacturing or craftsmanship defects.
  • If not treated with a proper teak sealer, teak wood will weather into a light grey finish over time. This will not impact the quality or structure of the finish and is not considered a product defect. Teak naturally contains oils that may appear red, yellow, brown, or green in color. Some oil bleed is expected and is a natural occurrence. Staining caused by teak oil is not covered by this warranty.
  • Surface discoloration on teak with weathered coatings (such as Ludlow Tables) may look more pronounced due to the stain treatment. This warranty does not cover such discoloration.
  • This warranty does not cover minor variation in wood color or texture. Spotting on new teak furniture is normal and is not covered by this warranty. Moisture can be absorbed into some porous surfaces, which can freeze and cause cracking, and is not covered by this warranty.
  • Uneven surfaces, cupping, bowing, checking (small surface cracks), and lifting of the grain over time is not covered by this warranty.

HDPE Wicker

Warranty Duration: 3 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird wicker is warranted against defects in the original manufacture of the material or workmanship defects such as broken or missing wicker strands.
  • The handmade process of manufacturing Yardbird wicker means that there may be natural variations in weaving patterns, frame colors, sizing, and other features that are not product flaws. Yardbird’s HDPE plastic is produced with UV-stabilizers to minimize fading; however, upon exposure to the sun, all colors will fade to some degree. Fading is not covered under this warranty. To minimize possible fading, we recommend covering the product when not in use.
  • You may also notice that the appearance of Yardbird products may vary slightly from the photos that are shown on our website. Such variations are natural in the manufacturing of hand-made products and should not affect performance of the products.
  • This warranty does not cover minor cosmetic cracks, as well as minor variations in wicker color or texture.

Furniture Cushions and Throw Pillows

Warranty Duration: 1 year from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird provides a warranty against manufacturing defects for the construction and workmanship of cushion and throw pillow interiors, including the construction of slip covers.
  • Slip cover fabrics are subject to the Sunbrella warranty.

Protective Furniture Covers

Warranty Duration: 3 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Protective furniture covers are warranted for three years against any manufacturing or workmanship defects relating to the integrity of the seams and fasteners.
  • This warranty does not cover slip covers, which are subject to the cushion warranty for slip cover construction and Sunbrella warranty for slip cover fabric.

HDPE Poly Lumber

Warranty Duration: 10 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird Adirondack Chairs and certain dining table components are made of HDPE poly lumber and warranted against manufacturing or workmanship defects.
  • Yardbird’s HDPE plastic is produced with UV-stabilizers to minimize fading; however, upon exposure to the sun, all colors will fade to some degree.

Rope (Geneva)

Warranty Duration: 3 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Geneva Rope Structural Warranty: Yardbird provides a warranty applicable to strap breakage attributable to a defect in the original material or workmanship of the product.
  • What's Not Covered: Any stretching, deterioration, discoloration, or damage caused by actions including but not limited to the following: cleaning products, misuse, sunscreen or other chemicals.  

Stainless Steel Components

Included Components: Stainless Steel Furniture Hardware

Warranty Duration: 5 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird’s stainless steel hardware components are warranted against breakage due to defects in manufacturing or workmanship for five years.
  • Rust or corrosion of stainless steel hardware is not covered under this warranty, unless the damage is determined by an authorized Yardbird representative to be caused by a manufacturing defect in the powder coat on the steel.

Steel Components

Included Components: Umbrella Bases, Madden Bistro Table Bases and Swivel/Rocking Mechanisms

Warranty Duration: 5 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird’s steel hardware components are warranted against breakage due to defects in manufacturing or workmanship for five years.  
  • Rust or corrosion of steel hardware is not covered under this warranty, unless the damage is determined by an authorized Yardbird representative to be caused by a manufacturing defect in the powder coat on the steel.

Sintered Stone Tables

Warranty Duration: 2 years from date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later.

  • Yardbird warrants sintered stone table surfaces against defects in material and workmanship. The warranty excludes staining, etching, scratching, or surface dulling.
  • Damage from cleaning products, heat, impact, or weather exposure is not covered. Moisture can be absorbed into some porous surfaces, which can freeze and cause cracking, and is not covered by this warranty.
