Where can I purchase Yardbird furniture?

Yardbird outdoor furniture can be purchased online at Yardbird.com, at one of our showroom locations, through our Customer Experience Team at (877) 927-2846, emailing us at hello@yardbird.com or via our live chat on the website.

What if I don't live near a showroom?

Yardbird continues to grow! But if we do not yet have a showroom location near you to visit in-person & you’d like to see additional examples of our furniture, please reach out to our team at hello@yardbird.com.

We’d be happy to send you additional photos from our showroom floor or set up a virtual showroom appointment with one of our showroom locations.

Can I take my items home after purchasing from the showroom?

Unlike retail stores, all of our showrooms are set up for display purposes only. They offer the ability for you to see, feel, and sit in all of our collections! Our showroom staff can help discuss your needs & help you place an order. All orders ship out of our warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Will my furniture fit in my yard/deck/patio?

If you are concerned about fit or space restrictions, tell us more about your space & preferences by filling out our Design Consultation form.

It is completely free & one of our Design Team members can help you explore different options & share a rendering of the recommended pieces in your space.

We also list dimensions on each product page for your convenience.

How do I track my order?

For Curbside and Small Parcel orders, you will receive updates via email including a tracking number once your order ships.

For orders that qualify for White Glove Delivery, you will receive communication via phone to schedule delivery.

Feel free to contact us at any point if you have questions or concerns about the delivery of your furniture.

I placed a pre-order for out-of-stock items, will I be notified before it ships out?

For orders that qualify for Curbside Delivery, we will email you to let you know when the items are ready and will not ship without your approval.

For orders that qualify for White Glove Delivery, you will receive communication via phone to schedule delivery once your items are back in stock.

How do I contact Yardbird if I have questions or concerns about the checkout process or order I have placed?

What if I need to delay my delivery due to construction or travel plans?

Yardbird can accommodate a customer’s request to hold on shipping an order for a limited time if requested prior to shipping from our warehouse in Minneapolis, MN.

Yardbird may hold an order for up to 90 days after order placement for fully in-stock orders. Pre-orders may be held for up to 90 days after the product arrives back in stock at Yardbird’s facility in Minneapolis, MN. Please note that all back-in-stock timelines are estimates and may vary.

Once the 90 day period is elapsed, the customer must accept delivery or cancel their order.

How do I care for my furniture?

Overall, our furniture is built to be low maintenance but there are a few things you can do throughout the year to ensure you can enjoy your Yardbird furniture for years to come! Visit our full Care & Maintenance guide for our recommendations.

Do you offer a trade or designer discount?

Can I purchase Yardbird gift card?

Yes, we offer Yardbird e-gift cards on our website. They take a few hours to process once placed.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

All eligible furniture orders will be charged a flat shipping rate of $120 for each Curbside or White Glove Delivery. The level of service will vary based on the shipping address.

If a product is returned, the customer is liable to pay the return shipping and a restocking fee. See the full shipping and return policy for details.

What is included in a Curbside Delivery?

For most areas of the US, we only offer a Curbside Delivery.  

A Curbside Delivery is a delivery of the freight as close as possible to the curb at a residential address from a full-size trailer truck (18- wheeler). This would not include bringing the pallet up to, into, or around back of the residence,just a curbside drop. Once unpacked, all of our furniture is manageable to be moved by 1-2 people.

Do you ship outside of the contiguous U.S.?

Not yet. We currently only ship within the 48 contiguous United States.

How do I pick my delivery date?

When the local delivery company receives your furniture, they will call to schedule a delivery time that will take place in a four-hour delivery window.

You will also be notified by the driver with a call-ahead, the day of, when they are close to your location.

Do I need to be home when my furniture is delivered?

Yes, you will need to be available for your scheduled delivery appointment. Signature is required upon receipt of goods.

You will receive a call the day before delivery to schedule a 2–4-hour delivery window. Signature is required upon receipt of goods.

Do you deliver during the evenings or on weekends?

Our carriers' schedule is based on their available route. While we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date, if you have interest in evenings or weekends, please ask if there is availability when you are contacted to schedule a delivery appointment.

Where will my order ship from?

Orders will ship from our warehouse, located at 451 Industrial Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413.

How long will it take to receive my furniture?

Check out our Shipping & Delivery page for the most up-to-date shipping estimates for fully in-stock orders. Once your order departs our warehouse it is an estimated transit time of 3-5 days to your local terminal who will then reach out to coordinate a delivery window that works best with your schedule.

If some of the products in the order are on pre-order, it will be indicated next to the price on the individual product page. If your order contains multiple items, they will ship together once all items arrive back in stock. If you would like to receive the in-stock items sooner, place them as a separate order. This may incur additional shipping charges.

I won't be available to accept my delivery as scheduled. What do I do?

Contact the delivery driver who reached out to schedule the delivery ASAP and re-schedule for a better time. Please be aware that re-scheduling a delivery for a later date than what was originally scheduled may result in additional fees. Please see the Shipping & Delivery page for more details.

Is assembly required?

While most of our furniture does not need any assembly, a few of our pieces will need some very light assembly.

To learn more about a particular set, check out the ‘Features’ section on the product page or reach out to our Customer Experience team and we can let you know whether they require assembly or not.

What if my product is damaged on pickup or delivery?

It is your responsibility to inspect packages at the time of delivery.

-       If the package and product is clearly damaged, refuse the full or partial shipment and let us know right away with photos. We will work with you to get replacement items.

-       If the package is slightly damaged, take photos and note “Received as Damaged” when you sign for it. If upon opening the items are damaged, send us photos and we will work with you to resolve.

If there are any issues, reach out to Yardbird directly at hello@yardbird.com or by replying to your order receipt. We allow up to 30 days from the date of delivery to report any damage visible on your furniture. We will work with you to resolve the situation. Photo evidence is extremely helpful in expediting the resolution process and in most cases is required by our team to initiate a replacement.

I placed an order, but now need to change the delivery address.

For orders that have not yet shipped, we can certainly assist you in changing your shipping address on an order. If the order has already shipped, a change in address may result in an additional reconsignment or delivery charge that is not included in the initial delivery offer.

Please note: Shipping methods are based on the ship to address and changing the location may change your level of delivery service. Our Customer Experience Team can help you determine if the level of delivery will change with a new shipping address.

Materials & construction

How are your products made?

Yardbird products are handcrafted one at a time. Though they are rarely noticeable, there may be natural variations in the weaving pattern, frame color, sizing, etc. that are not product flaws. Such variations are natural in the manufacturing of handmade products.

What are the internal components of the cushions made of?

Our seat foam is made from high-density polyurethane, which is classified as an open-cell foam. It is not reticulated, quick-dry, or high resiliency, which are other types of open-cell foams.

For the back cushions, we use a 100% polyester batting/Dacron filling, which is a patented polyester fiberfill technology that will not flatten out like other cushion materials and gives
cushions a tight and well-kept appearance. 

What is resin wicker?

Wicker made from resin is a new style that was invented in the early 2000’s to look similar to traditional wicker, but last a lot longer.

At Yardbird, we incorporate 50% of recycled plastics into our resin wicker. Learn more here.

Where is your furniture made?

We’ve traveled the globe for the best materials and craftsmanship to bring you beautiful, eco-friendly & high-quality furniture at honest prices.

Our diverse supply chain sources materials from the USA, Europe and Asia. We get our fabrics, threads and mechanical parts from the USA, our grade A teak is harvested in Indonesia, and our recycled plastics are collected from beaches in the Philippines. We do final assembly in Vietnam, China and the US.

Does the color of the wicker or fabric fade?

Our cushion slipcovers are made of Sunbrella fabric which is fade-resistant and warrantied for up to 5 years.   

As for our wicker furniture, we have tested our wicker up to 3,000 light hours for UV under the standard ASTM D4329-2 test standard for the industry.

That is 3,000 hours of direct sunlight with no effects of fading. While a wicker piece will fade over the lifetime of the piece (after 3,000 light hours), this would only be a modest difference only when compared side-by-side to a brand-new piece.  Our resin wicker performs much better than natural rattan and performs at the expected level as a high-end brand in the industry.

Is your furniture rust-proof?

Yes! We use aluminum for our frames which does not rust.

No processing or coatings are needed on the aluminum. We use a high-quality, powder-coat finish that will add sufficient saltwater and acid rain protection.

What is the difference between the Swivel Rocker and Swivel Glider style chairs?

Swivel Rocking Chairs will rock back and forth while the seat of the chair stays in a stationary position and will swivel or rotate left to right in a 360 degree on their axis.

Swivel Glider chairs will swivel left to right in a 360 degree on their axis and will glide front to back, moving the entire seat in a gliding motion.

Do you sell custom cushions or umbrellas?

We do not currently sell custom cushions. If you are interested in purchasing replacement cushions for your set, please reach out to our Customer Experience Team and we will help check on availability and pricing.  

In regard to umbrellas, we do carry a few styles of in-table umbrellas, as well as larger cantilever umbrellas.

Do the dining tables have an umbrella hole?

Yes, all of our dining tables have a standard umbrella hole for an in-table umbrella set-up. The umbrella hole is about 2-inches in diameter.

Is the furniture comfortable? What is the most comfortable set?

All of our furniture is designed with comfort in mind! We’ve chosen specific materials to not only provide durability but comfort too! Many of our collections feature deep seating so you can take full advantage of furniture you can really live in & enjoy.

How do the materials perform in hot sun?

Your Yardbird Furniture set is designed to withstand the elements. We use Sunbrella fabrics which have a 5-year warranty for fading. Our wicker and powder coat paints have been lab-tested for fade and heat resistance in the sunniest conditions of Florida and Arizona and are consistent with other high-end retailers.

When the furniture is in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, please note that it can get hot like anything else in those conditions, however, aluminum does a great job dissipating heat faster than commonly used materials seen in outdoor furniture such as steel.

I live in a windy area, what should I know before purchasing?

For extremely windy areas, it is better to lean towards lower and wider sets like our wicker Langdon or Elliot Collections. Swivel chairs will also be heavier than fixed chairs across all collections. 

For dining, choose our Winnie or Lily Collections as the teak and cast aluminum is heavier than the extruded aluminum. The Winnie and Lily chair backs also allow wind to pass through without catching which can be better suited for a windy area.

We use aluminum frames on all of our furniture, which is the highest quality metal for outdoor use. However, it is slightly lighter than metals like iron or steel, which are more prone to corrosion and rust. Please note: Because wind speeds and direction/angle are unpredictable and will vary by location, we cannot guarantee wind will not have an effect on your furniture placement.

What colors are available?

Most Yardbird Collections are offered in a single frame color with two color options for the cushion fabric.

We keep things simple & neutral, which allows our pieces to be very versatile & great options for any space or design style.

Can this furniture sit outside all year round with our local weather?

Your Yardbird Furniture set is designed to withstand the elements and won’t splinter or rot in extreme temperatures. However, the ice, snow, and blistering cold brought by the winter months can have a drastic effect on the longevity of your set. With that in mind, we highly recommend that you prepare your furniture for the winter months.

If space provides, it’s ideal to move your furniture into a sheltered location such as your garage, shed, or basement. Unfortunately, few people have the luxury of extra space for a bulky item like furniture.

If your set must remain outdoors, follow these steps to protect your furniture from the elements:

Clean all furniture with mild soap and water. Dry completely with a soft cloth. Consolidate pieces into the smallest possible space. Remove cushions and store indoors. Cover set with a high-quality outdoor furniture cover. This will help avoid extended periods of direct sunlight and will result in minimal fading over time.

Fire Tables

What should I know about placing a fire table in my space?

Our Fire Tables can safely be placed on a wood deck, concrete patio, under wood pergolas, right on the lawn or grass, or in a variety of other outdoor spaces.

When placing your gas fire pit, our clearance to combustibles is as follows:

·      2 feet from the edge of burner

·      8 inches below the burner

·      6 feet above the burner

What type of propane tank is compatible with Yardbird Fire Table and can I connect my Fire Table to a natural gas line?

Our fire tables require a standard size 20 lb. or 15 lb. propane tank. They can also hook up to natural gas lines with the included conversion orifice.

Professional installation and an external hose to connect to a natural gas source is required for fire table natural gas connection.

Do the Fire Tables give off sufficient heat?

Our Fire Tables have an adjustable flame/heat source and have an output of 55,000 BTU(at high heat) and give off substantial warmth.

Swatches

Can I order a fabric or frame swatch and how long do they take to arrive?

Yes! We understand this is a big purchase and want to ensure it is perfect for yourspace. Visit our Swatches page to select the swatches you would like to receive. Then be sure to check out so we can capture your shipping information.

Swatches will be mailed to you free of charge, typically within 5-10 business days. We offer swatches in all of our Sunbrella fabrics and for the majority of our frame options. You can also order swatches by clicking “Order Swatches” on each product page.

Are Yardbird's low prices an indicator of lesser quality?

Absolutely not.

We deliver high-quality, stylish outdoor furniture at honest prices with minimal to no assembly.

How do we do it? It sounds cliche, but we cut out the middleman.

We have spent years crisscrossing Europe, Asia and the U.S. in search of the industry’s best designs and suppliers. In the process, we discovered how to manufacture luxurious outdoor furniture while keeping costs to a minimum. We are thrilled to bring our durable and stylish line of outdoor furniture direct to savvy shoppers such as yourself.

When is my credit card charged?

When you place an order with us.

This is for both in-stock and pre-orders as we are reserving the items for you and will not sell them to anyone else. 

What payment methods does Yardbird offer?

Yardbird accepts all major US Credit Cards. We do not accept cash or check. We do offer financing options through Affirm(subject to approved credit).

Is sales tax included in prices?

Sales tax is not included in our pricing.  Any applicable sales tax will be added during the checkout process.

If you receive a prepared cart from one of our team members to help with the checkout process, please note you may see Minnesota state taxes applied as a default. Once you enter in your shipping address, any applicable taxes will update depending on your shipping location.

Customizations

Can I reverse the direction of my sectional?

Yes! Our Langdon, Waverly, Ludlow, and Colby Sectionals are completely modular so you can configure them however you prefer.

Can I order a different size or make a customized sectional set up?

Yes, absolutely!

Our sectionals are modular and most allow for custom configurations.

Returns

How do I cancel my order?

Orders will be subject to our Return Policy once the order has been shipped. This includes full and partial cancellations. If you would like to cancel, please reach out to us as soon as possible at hello@yardbird.com and we will do our best to help meet this request.

Please note, tracking information is typically sent at end-of-day so there is often a lag time between the items shipping and receiving that notice.

Warranty

Does my set have a warranty?

Yes, we have warranties in place against defects from craftsmanship as well as extended warranties for the fabric and frames (aluminum & Sunbrella) we use for our furniture.
